BBO alternatives in 2026
BridgeTricks is our own product. Every other app is described from its own site and store listing, checked on 18 October 2026.
Plenty of sites and apps besides Bridge Base Online let you play bridge on the internet. Some offer free games against robots or bring your club online with video at the table, while others are simple card rooms for a casual game with friends. A few are made for practice rather than play, for working on your game between sessions.

IntoBridge
IntoBridge is an online bridge site and app where casual tables, pairs games and team matches are free and unlimited, against friends or the Lia robot. Just Play seats you with three robots at once. Ranked games, the Daily Dozen and the Daily Celebrity Challenge draw on a bank of boards that starts at 99. If it falls below 25, it is topped back up to 25 every Monday. There are also free weekly learning games with Gavin Wolpert and Larry Cohen.
Its player base is much smaller than BBO's, going by store ratings, and the website has no pricing page. In the App Store the Supporter plan costs $129.99 a year.
Funbridge
Funbridge is a solo app where you play South and the Argine robot takes the other seats. Each deal is compared with everyone who played the same cards, and there are daily and league tournaments, some of which count for federation masterpoints. After a deal it shows your mistakes and lets you replay, and you can also play with other people at tables and in team championships.
Moving to Funbridge keeps you in the same group as BBO. BBO and GOTO Games, the maker of Funbridge, announced their merger in a 2018 press release, and the two have run as separate brands in one group since then. The free plan is small at 2 deals a day, and Premium costs $15.99 a month or $174.99 a year on the web, more in the app.
RealBridge
RealBridge runs in the browser with video and audio at the table, so an online game feels close to playing face to face. Clubs, national federations and international events use it, and ACBL clubs run sanctioned games on it. The club pays RealBridge between $0.41 and $0.96 per player per session, and you pay whatever the club charges.
RealBridge lists no robots and no solo practice. You need an organized game to join, so RealBridge is for players whose club or federation already uses it.
Trickster
Trickster is a card games app with bridge among spades, hearts and others. You can join live games with other players or invite friends to a private game with voice and video chat, and robots fill empty seats. It is free with ads, and the VIP Pass costs $5.99 a month or $49.99 a year.
It is made for relaxed social play. There are no training tools and no masterpoint tournaments, and some App Store reviewers are not happy with the robots.
Bridge Champ
Bridge Champ is a free platform for play with a partner or robots, with video, clubs, teams and bidding practice tables. Its tournaments come in many forms, from matchpoints and IMPs to board-a-match and Patton. It runs on the web, iOS and Android.
The user base is small, and the App Store listing still says the app is under development.
Bridge by NeuralPlay
NeuralPlay is a solo game against robots that works offline on iOS and Android. It plays SAYC, 2/1, Acol and Precision, lets you change the conventions, and has a bidding practice mode and a double dummy solver that compares your play with the best line. It has more than a million installs on Google Play.
There is no play with other people and there are no tournaments. The full game is free with ads, and removing the ads costs $12.99 on iOS.
BridgeTricks
BridgeTricks is a training site, and it does not replace BBO as a place to play. It has no table play with people or robots and no full-deal tournaments. It takes one decision, like an opening lead or the play of a suit, and grades it with a solver. The Lead Trainer scores every lead over 4,000 layouts at IMPs and matchpoints, and the Suit Trainer grades your play of a suit combination against the exact chances of every line. Both have free daily sets and duels with ratings.
There is also the Bidding Architect for writing down your system, which you can share with your partner on Pro or Master, a free double dummy solver for any deal you played, and free guides and lessons. It runs in any browser, and its iOS and Android apps have the double dummy solver. Pro costs $7 a month and Master $12 a month.
Cuebids
Cuebids is for bidding with your partner, and there is no card play. You both bid the same deal whenever you have time, and each board is scored with double dummy simulations from zero to three stars. A Leak Finder shows where your partnership goes wrong.
Bidding with a human partner is free and unlimited, with 48 tickets a month. Robot partners and the Daily and Weekly events cost tickets. The website shows no prices, and the App Store lists Supporter plans from $5.99.
