Bridge bidding practice in 2026: the best apps and sites
BridgeTricks is our own product. Every other app is described from its own site and store listing, checked on 18 October 2026.
Good bidding comes from bidding a lot of hands and checking what went wrong. There are three ways to get that practice online. You can bid alone and compare your calls with an answer, bid with your regular partner, or bid with robots that follow a known system. Bidding apps and sites differ in which of these they offer, how they score your auctions and what they cost.

Cuebids
Cuebids is made for partnership bidding. You and your partner bid the same deal in turns, each when you have time, and the final contract is checked with double dummy simulations and rated from 0 to 3 stars. Bidding with a human partner is free and unlimited. A free account also gets 48 tickets a month, which pay for robot partners or opponents (in 2/1 Bergen, SAYC, Acol, French standard, Swedish expert and more) and for the Daily and Weekly events, where professional players bid the same deals.
There is no card play, only bidding. Paid supporter tiers add deal types, tickets, custom scenarios, private groups and a four-player mode. They are sold in the app, and the website shows no prices.
BridgeTricks
BridgeTricks is for the work you do alone. You write your system in the Bidding Architect, auction by auction, or start from a library system such as SAYC or Standard English Acol, and turn any part of it into flashcards that ask for the call you agreed. There are also bidding drills of 100 hands on 46 conventions and bidding topics, quizzes and free convention guides.
BridgeTricks has no bidding with a partner or against robots. A free account gets 10 flashcards a day, 3 drill or quiz answers a day and 500 nodes in the Bidding Architect. Pro is $7 a month or $60 a year and Master $12 a month or $99 a year.
BBO bidding tables
Bridge Base Online lets you open a bidding table and bid deals with a partner, free and without a limit on every plan, including the free Basic one. BBO does not score your auctions. Practice Bidding Scenarios is a community add-on for these tables. It does not work on the iOS app.
bid72
bid72 is a partnership bidding app from the Netherlands with rated boards, boards on single conventions and bidding contests run with federations such as the EBU and the NBW. It has no robots, so you always bid with a human partner. After a three-week free trial it costs $3.49 (EUR 2.99) a month or $28.99 (EUR 24.99) a year on its website. Its apps were last updated in February 2024 on iPhone and September 2025 on Android.
Bridge by NeuralPlay
NeuralPlay is a bridge game against robots for iPhone and Android that works offline. Its bidding practice mode lets you bid hands without playing them, in SAYC, 2/1, Acol or Precision with conventions you can change, and you can tap any bid to see what it means. The game is free with ads, and removing the ads costs $12.99 on iOS.
Bridgetastic
Bridgetastic is a website with a bidding trainer for opening decisions, an AI coach that answers bidding and play questions, and a system builder. The free plan gives 10 trainer hands and 10 coach questions a day. Pro costs $5 a month or $39 a year. The coach's answers come from an AI model and have not been tested independently.
SAYCBridge
SAYCBridge is a free, open source web tool where you bid hands against an autobidder that follows the ACBL SAYC booklet, and a bid explorer explains each call. It only covers SAYC and has no card play.
Bridge Winners polls
Bridge Winners is a free community site where members post bidding problems and everyone votes and comments. You see what experts and other players would bid, which helps on hard hands. The result is a vote of players, with no computed answer behind it.
Pavlicek's bidding practice
Richard Pavlicek's website offers free sets of hands for two partners to bid together, grouped by topic such as opening bids, conventions, slams and competitive auctions. The sets are web pages or printable files, and some can be loaded into a BBO bidding table.
How to choose
- To bid with your regular partner when you are not online together, Cuebids is the first choice, and bid72 if you also want federation contests.

- To bid with robots, NeuralPlay works offline in SAYC, 2/1, Acol or Precision, and Cuebids has robot partners for tickets.
- To learn and remember your own agreements, write them in the Bidding Architect and drill them with flashcards on BridgeTricks.
- To learn a new convention, read a guide and do its 100-hand drill on BridgeTricks.
- To see what experts bid on hard hands, read the Bridge Winners polls.

- Is there free bidding practice?
- Several options are free. Cuebids is free with a human partner, BBO bidding tables are free on every plan, SAYCBridge, Bridge Winners and Pavlicek's hands cost nothing, and BridgeTricks gives 10 flashcards and 3 drill answers a day for free.
