BridgeTricks is our own product. Every other app is described from its own site and store listing, checked on 18 October 2026.

Bridge training software ranges from apps that teach a beginner the rules to tools that check one decision with a computer. Some let you play whole deals with robots, some drill bidding with a partner, and some are live classes with a teacher. The right pick depends on your level, on which part of your game needs work, and on the device you use.

BBO Trainer

BBO Trainer is a practice app from Bridge Base Online, separate from the main BBO app. You play deals one on one against the GIB robot or real opponents, take a daily challenge and get a double dummy review of your play, which one user on the BBO Forums praised. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and Windows and uses your BBO login.

The first month includes everything, then it costs $9.99 a month in the app. After the trial you keep the Daily Challenge, Mini Bridge and 4 practice deals a day. One forum user wished it could analyze past BBO deals, which it does not, and it has no tournaments or masterpoints.

BridgeTricks

BridgeTricks trains one decision at a time and checks it with a solver. The Lead Trainer grades every opening lead over 4,000 double dummy layouts at IMPs and matchpoints, and the Suit Trainer grades your play of suit combinations against the exact odds. You write your system in the Bidding Architect and drill it with flashcards, and there are 100-hand bidding drills on 46 bidding topics, 26 free lessons and a free double dummy solver.

Daily sets and duels are free without a limit, and free accounts get 3 practice hands a day in the Lead and Suit Trainers. Pro is $7 a month or $60 a year and Master $12 a month or $99 a year. There is no play against robots, no live tables and no full-deal tournaments. It runs in any browser, and its iOS and Android apps have the double dummy solver.

Bridge Master

Bridge Master is Fred Gitelman's set of declarer play problems, found inside BBO. It has five levels, from new players to very hard, and each deal is built around one technique. The defenders always find the best defense, and a solution button explains the right line. BBO's 2026 membership page lists it as unlimited on every plan, the free Basic plan included.

Shark Bridge

Shark Bridge lets you play offline against a robot you can set from beginner to expert, or online with friends, and it has daily matchpoint tournaments. It gives hints, analyzes your auction, suggests declarer lines and imports PBN and LIN files. It plays SAYC and 2/1, with Acol in development.

The download is free, and the in-app options are Bridge Enthusiast at $29.99 and a yearly VIP plan at $34.99. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows, and there is a separate console for teachers.

Bridge by NeuralPlay

Bridge by NeuralPlay is a solo game against robots that works offline. It plays SAYC, 2/1, Acol and Precision with conventions you can change, has a mode to practice bidding without playing, and includes a double dummy solver that compares your play with the best one. It is free with ads, removing them costs $12.99 on iOS, and it has more than a million installs on Android. There is no play with other people.

Tricky Bridge

Tricky Bridge is made for beginners. A storyline of 57 lessons and challenges, led by robot characters, covers bidding, play and strategy, and you can practice deals with a hint button. The lessons and solo practice are free with no pop-up ads. In-app purchases include 50 deals for $3.99 and unlimited deals at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. It has robot tournaments but no play with people, and its last store update was in 2025.

Cuebids

Cuebids is for bidding practice with your partner, and it has no card play. You both bid the same deal whenever you have time, and each board is rated from 0 to 3 stars by double dummy simulation. A Leak Finder shows where your partnership goes wrong. Bidding with a human partner is free, with 48 tickets a month for robot partners and events. Paid plans are sold in the app, and the website lists no prices.

bid72

bid72 is a partnership bidding app from the Netherlands, with rated boards, topic boards for conventions, and bidding contests run with federations such as the EBU. It has no robots, so you need a human partner. After a three-week free trial it costs EUR 2.99 or $3.49 a month, or EUR 24.99 or $28.99 a year. It is on iOS and Android, and the Android app was last updated in September 2025.

Bridgetastic

Bridgetastic is a website with an AI coach called Brian, who answers questions about bidding and play. It also has a hand analyzer, an opening lead advisor, a bidding trainer for opening bids, a system builder, a convention card creator and whole deals against bots. The free plan gives 10 questions and 5 hand analyses a day, and Pro costs $5 a month or $39 a year. No app was found, and there are no multiplayer tables.

Bridge Baron

The Bridge Baron app lets you play against robots you can adjust, replay famous tournament deals to compare with the pros, and practice with the cards face up. It gives spoken bidding hints and guidance on conventions and signals. It is free to download, with a monthly subscription listed at $7.90 in the App Store, though the description still says $4.99. There is no multiplayer play.

Audrey Grant's Better Bridge

Audrey Grant's Better Bridge runs on iPad and iPhone, with a Mac version. It has an interactive daily column with deals to bid and play, bidding quizzes, and courses with hands to play against the computer. The download and an intro lesson are free, the daily column is $9.99 for 30 days, and courses are sold one by one, such as Bridge Basics 1 for $34.99. No Android version was found.

60SecondBridge

60SecondBridge teaches in short web lessons in Standard American or Acol, with practice hands against the computer, quizzes, a hand of the day and a daily competition. Sample lessons need no account, and the 30-day free trial needs no card. After that it costs $10 a month or $60 a year.

Learn Bridge Online

Learn Bridge Online runs weekly live classes on the web, taught by a team of teachers, with replays and a lesson library. Most classes cost $40 every 4 weeks after a free trial of one or two weeks, and supervised play sessions cost $55 every 4 weeks. Intro lessons and YouTube videos are free. There are no robots or solvers.

Jack 6

Jack 6 is a Windows program whose site lists 10 computer bridge world titles between 2001 and 2015. It plays systems such as SAYC, 2/1, Acol and Precision with more than 80 conventions, and has network play and a double dummy solver. Retailers sell it for GBP 59.95 or $69.95, and there is a demo. It runs on Windows only, and its site shows no sign of a new version in years.

Bridge Solver Online

Bridge Solver Online, by John Goacher on Bridgewebs, is a free double dummy solver in the browser. You enter or load a deal and see which contracts make, play it again, or analyze every board of a session. There is also a free Android app with more than 50,000 installs. It checks deals you bring and does not set you problems.
